It is set in 1980.
There are props such as antique furniture and decore from an older period- this suggests his prosperity, it also implies that he has taste...not just in furniture!
His name is Hannibil- very animalistic, he cirlces the table like a vulture while talking to his guests.
He uses words such as "hog," and "hurd"
His language suggests he is well educated, "cribbed," and "swarays." He also uses French implying that he may have done some travelling.

Religious pictures- Maybe implying that this person is contradicting releigion to justify what their doing, (assuming that there evil)
The lighting is dark, shadowing across the scrapbook- relating to the dark side people may have.

Sound/Editing
Piano- Diagetic sound, adds a sense of high culture.

Incidental music begins when Agent Graham begins to figure out what Hannibil is, gets louder when he figures out.
Music sounds quiet dis- orientated when Hannibil gets stabbed- relates to his own confusion and shock.
